Reverse Osmosis

Reverse Osmosis (RO) delivers clean and pure drinking water to your home without the use of nasty chemicals!

First, your tap water passes through a carbon cartridge removing chlorine and sediment as well as lead and other harmful contaminants. It then moves through a purification membrane that removes the majority of all remaining contaminants. Your water then passes through a final carbon membrane before flowing through to your drinking faucet.

In the end, an RO system can reduce up to 97% of all contaminants in your water supply, delivering clean and safe water to your family.

Once your water is tested,  together, we’ll come up with a water filtration and treatment plan that’s right for your home.

Ultraviolet (UV) Light Filters

Ultraviolet (UV) water filters are the best way to sterilize the drinking water in your home. A UV filter can kill bacteria like E. coli and coliform as well as some viruses that may be present in your home’s water source.

Instead of treating your drinking water with chemicals that can leave your water tasting like chlorine, UV filters can sterilise your water without imparting any unwanted flavors.

UV filters are usually used to compliment your home’s water filtration system such as a Reverse Osmosis (RO) filter to deliver exceptional water quality.

Water Softeners

If your home’s water source contains high levels of calcium, this can build up within your water pipes, reducing water pressure and damaging your pipes.

A water softener removes the calcium and magnesium minerals within your water. This reduces buildup in the pipes, faucets, and appliances that you rely on.

Vermont water is generally considered moderately hard, but if you use well or stream water in your home, it’s likely that higher levels of calcium and minerals are present in your water supply.

If you’re not sure if you need a water softener in your home, I can drop by and perform a quick water test determine the mineral content in your home’s water and help you decide if a water softener will be beneficial to you.

Iron & Sulphur Removal

Chemical free iron & sulphur filters use an air injection system (AIO) to oxidize the sulfur gas and iron present in your water. This then allows the iron and sulphur to be filtered out of your water supply.

The system is designed to automatically clean itself and remove the iron and sulphur that builds up within the filters, meaning they require very little maintenance or servicing.

Many homes Vermont use well or spring water as their water source. If you don’t have effective water filtration, minerals can build up in your pipework and lead to leaks and expensive water damage.

I can deliver a testing kit to your home and provide you with all the instructions you’ll need to successfully test your water supply.

With costs as low as $22 this minimal investment will give you valuable information to make decisions about how to move forward with your water treatment options.
